Forensic Technology involves acquisition, investigation and analysis of suspect(s) through electronic/digital evidence. Some people refer to this field as “Computer Forensics” which is a vast understatement as this field includes many electronic devices beyond computers. Well over 90% of the worlds’ information is stored in electronic format and more than half of that information will never be printed. It is imperative that digital evidence is addressed. Engagements can range from gathering potential evidence for potential future investigation (“legal hold”) to performing a “quick peek”, a full investigation or review of opposing forensic evidence.
